Pennine Vibropiling Ltd is a wholly owned member company of the Balfour Beatty Group; it was acquired in August 2005 from its owners and founding partners since then the operating companies of the former Pennine Group have been consolidated within the one company.
Before moving into contracting in 1994 Pennine had already established a solid reputation as manufacturers of specialist ground improvement equipment. The Pennine range of hydraulic vibroflots is acknowledged universally as the most reliable and powerful models available.
Ancillary plant such as power packs, jetting pumps and data logging equipment is also available. All the models can be modified to suit specific project requirements; whilst using components from leading international suppliers such as Caterpillar, Volvo and Samsung, ensures that spare parts are always available.
The company also builds dedicated ground improvement and piling rigs using standard tracked excavators as the base machine; such rigs are designed to specific requirements and can be fitted with data recording instrumentation.
An extensive fleet is available for rental or sale, and full and comprehensive commissioning and operator training is available. In some instances Pennine will offer geotechnical design backup and/or project management.
